Artists Begin Work
The new herd of Gallopalooza horses is beginning to take shape at Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center, where approximately 20 artists are currently working on their designs. Many more artists will begin decorating their horses later this month as new shipments of the fiberglass statues arrive. The horses are being manufactured by three different fiberglass companies: Vanaire, The Glass Hand and America's Fiberglass Animals. The horses were designed by a local architectural design-build company, the Weber Group.
